Brain Reflex Integration: Brain Reflex Integration techniques are amazingly effective in helping to fill in any gaps in a child’s (or adult’s) subskill development or skills maturation level. For those of you new to this work, reflexes are the building blocks for the neurological system and form the foundation for the development of cognition, movement, behavior, and emotional stability. Getting reflexes appropriately integrated allows the brain and body system to move forward in its natural development without compensations or gaps in skills maturation. To accomplish this, a trained facilitator assesses the level of reflex development and looks for the point of learning – the place where normal reflex integration was interrupted. The body and brain are then reeducated to facilitate the natural progression of integration, which allows subskill development and finally skills maturation. Reflex integration has also proven to be invaluable in the retention and reclamation of physical and cognitive skills for seniors as well.
